THE FEUDING SALE FIRMER TONE EVIDENT. Tel igraph—Press Association FEIUDING, March. 24. A firmer tone was evident in the sale for fat sheep at the Feilding stock sale to-day, some good quality ewes making increased prices. Lambs snd wethers also were in good demand. Despite the fairly large enffry, practically the whole of the offering was sold at auction. Store sheep were easier in price, mainly because of lack of quality. Attractive lines of two-tooth ewes were quite np to recent rates, but there were only a few of these offering. Aged ewes were not of the type required. Very few cattle were yarded in either the store or the beef sections, fhe sale for cattle in the beef section being slow Quotations are: Sheep: Prime ewes, 13s to 13s 9d, second quality 11s 6d to 12s 9d, lighter 10s to 11s 3d; prime wethers, 19s lOd to 20s 7d, medium 18s 6d to 19s 6d. unfinished 16s lOd to 18s; b.f. two-tooths, heavy 20s 3d fo 21s 9d, light 17s 8d to 18s 9d; prime quality lambs 21s. second grade 18s to 19s 7d, unfinished 13s 7d to 17s 7d; two-tooth ewes, good 31s 6d, smaller 24s 7d to 25s 3d, backward 17s 6d to 23s 8d; five-year ©wes, r.w. S.D. rams, 12s to 13s 9d; m.a. r.w. S.D. rams, 10s 6d. Cattle; Light prime cows, £5 10s to £6* unfinished £3 10s to £4 17s 6d; heavy runners. £3 15s; boner cows, £1 los to £3 2s 6d ; 18-month Steers, £4 4s. cows and calves, £3 12s Gd; weaner heifers, £2 to £3 ss; heifers, calved, £5 5s to £6 ss. Poultry : Hens. Is 5d to 3s 9d; jJullets, 7s *6d to 8s 6d, small 2s 7d to 3s 9d ; cockerels. Is 6d to 3s lOd; ducks. Is 4d to 2s 6d. Pigs; Weaners, 4s to 6s 6d ; slips, 5s to 9s.
