Mrs Sid Wardlo is visiting Mrs F. War die, senr., of Pongaroa. Miss Bagley, of Wakeman Street, is on a visit to Auckland. Mr and Mrs V. A. Welch, of Masterton, recently paid a brief visit to Pongaroa. Mr A. T. Yeoman, of Pongaroa, is a visitor' to Gisborne, to attend the hockey tournament. Mesdames E. S. Berry and P. it. Kent, of Pongaroa, are visiting Te Awamutu. Messrs G. R. MacKenzie and C. Horrax. of Wanganui, were weekend visitors to Pahiatua. Messrs L. T. Russell and J. Richardson, of Pahiatua, are visiting Timaru for the New Zealand basketball championship. Mr Ol liver Evans, of Rongomai, is an inmate of the .Pahiatua Hospital, where he underwent an operation for a leg injury. Miss D. F. E. Junker, of Pahiatua, was highly commended in the Special Chappell Vocal Solo at the Wellington Competitions Society Festival. Mr G. H. Pose, of the staff of the Tokomaru Bay Post Office, has returned after having spent part of his annual leave in Pongaroa. Mrs A. O. Paget returned to Pahiatua on Saturday from the South Wairarapa, where she had been spending the week with Mrs Juno, a former well-known resident of Pahiatua.
