RIFLE SHOOTING.

TAR AH U A Cbl fi. The Tararua Rifle Club fired the third and final shoot for the Hercock Cup on Saturday. This was won by Rifleman J. P. Petersen, after a shoot-off with five others. Petersen put on a. possible at 600 yards in the shoot-off which settled the question. The championship was won by Rifleman P. Berry with a score of 293 out of a possible 300, Rifleman J. P. Petersen being runner up. The scores for Saturday were : 300 500 600 Ho. Tl.
