BURNT AT HAMUA
. Shortly after daybreak this raorn”!S Mr J. Cleghorn, driving his big 1 hornyeroft transport lorry from 1 ahiatua on the way to AVellington, met with a serious accident at Hamua.
From the few details so far obtainable it appears that Mr Cleghorn set out with a load of goods to meet his other driver who was on the way up from Foatherston with the smaller truck. AVhen in the vicinity of Mr G. Bailey’s projrrt 'm. at Ha mua a tyre burst on the 1 hornyeroft and swung the hime vehicle off the road where it crash- , '“ to a telegraph pole and caught all jxnr.
Mi was knork«»d unoons< | ous lor' a moment or two and came round to find himself in a J' K P°t with his machine ablaze. The vehicle and its load, we understand, were destroyed.
