An experiment in vegetable growng that has proved successful to

date has been undertaken by Mr A. P. McCool; of Hall Block, a short distance from Woodviile In an effort to combat the ravages of white butterflies Mr McCool established his garden, which is approximately 10 acres in extent, at a fairly high altitude in the hills. The major 73art of the crop, which is nearing maturity, consists of broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cabbages, and it Is the owner’s intention to market the produce in outside centres. The white butterfly has not made its appearance and the crops are looking particularly healthy.
