The stewards of the AVellington Racing Club met and decided not only to continue tlie race for the New Zealand St. Leger, which, by a previous resolution was eliminated for 1934, but to increase the. stakes by 50 so vs. to 300 sovs. It was also resolved to continue the other classic events on the programme, the Wellesley Stakes carrying 400 sovs., and the AVellington and North Island Challenge .Stakes each 500 sovs.
