fat lambs competition. At a meeting of the executive of tiie Pahiatua A. and P. Association, held yesterday, at which the following were present: Alessrs T. C. Cornford (who presided), H. Cotter, K. J. Didsburv, J. P. Tvlee, C. Jennings, W. T. McClenaghan’ H. R. Wilton, F. Wright, H. S. Mason, D. O’Brien, A. Ross, J. Algie and W. D. Taylor, a very lengthy discussion took place on the fat lambs competition, following a letter read by the secretary from the Masterton A. and P. Association, which stated that the following class would be inserted in the prize schedules of tlie Marton, Levin, Dannevirke, Eeilding, Pahiatua and Masterton A. and P. Associations:

“Pen of 4 lambs, downs, longwool cross (woolly or shorn) to be under 421bs freezing weight. The lambs to be forwarded to the Wellington Meat Export Works at Ngahauranga, and after killing to be shipped Home to Messrs Henry S. Fitter and Sons, London, for their report and account sales.” A resolution was carried that it he a recommendation to the controlling association that all lambs penned and judged to go forward, the adjudicator certifying to the number entered and judged. The following new members were elected: Messrs W. Fulton (Kohinui) and J. T. .Smith. The annual meeting is to be held on Saturday, the 31st iiist., and the prize schedule will he arranged by the new committee.

A very, hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Jones by acclamation.
