A long discussion then ensued oil the competition, there being a diversity of opinion as to whether tho whole of the entries should go forward for competition, or only those selected by, say. com (latent judges. It was argued that the Pahiatua A. end P. Association might be somewhat handicapped as the entries from tho bigger Associations would bo more numerous. In this connection it was explained that the competition would be decided on the best parcel of lambs, irrespective of numbers. Eventually, it was decided to give the delegates (Messrs T. ('. On the motion of Air Mason it was resolved to form two canvassing committees. one for tliie town and the other for the country. Mr Macon ventured the opinion that considering the large number of farmer® in the district the Association sh> uld have a bigger membership. He considered that tlie farmer reaped a much larger benefit front the show than the business man. therefore the mar. oil 'lie land should sup|Kirt it. It was in hi* interest.
