BURNED TO THE GROUND
LORD LASCELLES’ CASTLE. (Received 11.50 a.m.) United Pre-ss Assn—By Electric Telegraph—Copy right, LONDON. October 4. Portumna Castle, at Galway, the property of Lord Lascelles, was burned to the ground early this morning. Civic guards and soldiers rushed to the scene in a fruitless endeavour to extinguish the flames. Elaborate arrangements had been made to receive Lord Lascelles and Princess Mary.—Sun cable.
