GOSSIPING MEN

THE FACTORY YARD. (Exchange.) Tber,e was a complaint at tile annual meeting of suppliers to a factory that last season insufficient provision was made for receiving milk as it arrived. To this retort was made by Mr,. Bucolic that if suppliers instead of holding up others whilst they gossiped would get on with the washing of their cans and move out of the way and back to their farms everything would run smoothly. The loeai poet has since turned out the following verses: TALK ON THE ROAD. Please don’t yarn and loaf about, But wash your cans and pull right out. Should you wish to talk of football, fight or races, I am sure you will find the proper place is On the road. To talk on the road you must agree Is best for you and best for me. For I can scrub my cans bright and clean, And you can talk from morn till eve, Out on the road. If to W.G.’s salary you take exception I am sure there will be no objection For you to talk on this or any question On the road. So as I have mentioned here before, If von wish to exercise your jaw, You will have both time and space galore. On the* road
