SATISFIED SUPPLIERS
BALLANGE VALLEY FACTORY EXCELLENT BALANCE-SHEET. The annual meeting of shareholders in the Ballanee Valley Co-opera--tiv© Dairy Co., Ltd., was held in the factory buildings at noon yesterday. Air John H. Windle, chairman ot directors, presiding. In moving the adoption or the annual report and balance-sheet, the chairman said that shareholders and sujipliers were to be congratulated on the past season’s working. The season had been a good one, and despite the fact that two suppliers, one a large one, had left the factory, the output had only decreased by 3 or 4 tons for the season, which showed that production had increased. The pay-out was the best they had experienced for several years and practically all of the output had been graded first or finest. The future looked very bright. Prices at Home were good and the indications were that they would continue so for some time. For the coming season the company had decided on a consigning policy. Air J. T. Ross, seconding 'the motion, said they had experienced a very good season, and had produced one of the best balance-sheets in the history of the company. The chairman agreed that it was tli© finest balance-sheet they had had for several years, running costs being nearly £3OO less than the previous year, There had been a good saving on shipping; and storage and fuel as well, in fact nearly, every item showed a slight reduction. The report and balance-sheet was unanimously adopted, without discussion. „ , r The retiring director, Mr P. McCarthy, was re-elected to office, and Air F. W. Long was elected to fill the vacancy on the directorate caused by the death of Air A. H. G. •Cooper. . , . Mr G. C. Miller was re-appomted auditor. , A vote of thanks and con gratuiations was passed, to the manager, Mi Zeinert, -on his excellent make last season. Mr L. H. Holdaway said that from the company’s point of view they could not get a better man. The directors were voted the. usual honorarium for their past year s services. ~ A hearty vote of thanks to the energetic and capable secretary, Air G. Godfrey Taylor, was passed by acclamation. , . All- J. H. Windle was re-elected chairman at the subsequent meeting of directors.
