CHAAIPION OF OHAAIPIONS. The champion of champions pairs contest under the auspices of tho Alar.awatu Bowling Centre was commenced at the I ! i'race End C luh s greens on Saturday morning in glorious weather. . The results in which the Pahiatua men were engaged were as follows : First Round. Bissett and Paterson (Pahiatua) defeated Moffatt and Duncalf (Terrace Er.il) 21—13. Second Round: Bissett and Ratersou (Pahiatua) defeated Shand and Kckersley (Alanawatu) 20 —13. Semi-fina’s; When ill; ; y was suspended for the day, Bissett and Paterson (Pahiatua) who were in conbest with J. H. and N. IL. Nash (Palmerston North), the other .semi-final-ists, were loading 17—13 on the 14th head. Oil Saturday the Afanson and Barr Can was played for on the local green, when Palmerston North took the honours from Pahiatua 27—21. During the past week, two pairs matches were played.
