A RECRUIT'S TEETH.

The work of the Wellington Town Hall Recruiting Committee is not without its humorous side at times. A stalwart \vho wished to enlist last week did not take kindly to flic idea of having his teeth examined. “I have splendid teeth. They are in perfect order." ho said. To demonstrate this ho seized a chair-back in his teeth and, holding the chair thus, proceeded to walk round with it. Captain Rare lay said that he had not intended to cast any doubt upon the soundness of the applicant’s teeth, but explained t-liat the examination w«u necessary, as no recruit could be accepted at camp without a dentist’s :ertißrute that his teeth wore up to the campaigning sitindard.
