As M r Roosevelt was rqotoring to deliver a speech in Kansas city in favour of army and naval preparedness. h knife whizzed pased him. It was apparently flung by an onlooker in the crowd. The knife struck the rear of the motor car. and was found in the street afterwards. Mr Roosevelt wee unaware of the incident.
