ALLEGED BREACHES OF THE LICENSING ACT.
Electric Telegraph Press Association. Palmerston North, May 3. Michael iMuynilnin, publican, Shannon, was charged at the S.AI. Court this morning with four alleged breaches of the Lie using Act by issuing a small card at the recent licensing elections containing instructions how to vote. The case was the first, hoard in New Zealand, and was laid under subssections a and b of section 157 ol the Legislature Act. The police prosecuted and the tacts Here admitted by the defence. Counsel ad. dressed the Court oil the legal position and the decision was reserved.
