At a meeting of the local Advisory Committee in connection with the International Exhibition, it was reported that only one local body had responded to the request for funds. The Taieri County Council voted £25. The chairman said the general ieeling was that the cost of exhibiting and the deterioration of exhibits would be too great. It was resolved that Otago should not exhibit as a province, but show in the New court an that the £25 be returned to the Taieri County Council. It the 4000 ft. applied for its continuous it was suggested it might be marked “Otago exhibit.”
