OUR LITTLE DINNERS.

A SIXPENNY DINNER

1. Pig's fry. 2. Baked apples*.

Recipes.—Buy a pig's fry or a sheep's fry for this dish. Slice two onions finely, fry in a little dripping or lard, remove the onions when cooked, and put the meat in the pan. Brown lightly and serve very hot. Cost, 4d. 2. Bake the apples in their skins in a moderate oven. Do not overcook, or they will go to waste. Cost, 2d. Even a favourite dish does not appeal to anyone suffering from biliousness, and a sick headache makes life scarcely worth living. The moment, however, these troubles disappear, we forget them, and what is really dangerous, forget that we have not gone to the root of the matter, and have done nothing to prevent a return of our pains. Many of the so-called “cures” for stomach and bowel troubles are simply injurious, producing violent results attended by reactions, which in turn have to be dealt with, and so on until the disease becomes chronic, and too often incurable. Such headaches are a sure sign that the digestive system is out of order; you can put it in order, and keep it in order by using Nature’s remedy, Doan’s Dinner Pills, which are made of herbs which stimulate the action of the liver, stomach and bowels. Their action is mild, but sure. Of all chemists and storekeepers, or posted on receipt of price by Foster-McClellan Co.. street, Sydney. Sample free for Id stamp. Remember, DOAN’S Dinner Pills.
