Per Press Association. Wellington, May 19. While a steamer was crossing Cook’s Strait to Wellington to-day, she ran into thousands of dend fish Hoatingin the tide-way. Many sharks were seen devouring the fish. It is supposed that the slaughter was caused by a submarine seismic disturbance.
