Funeral of Mr W. H. Levin.
An Impressive Gathering. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Weij.inoton, This Day. Never in the history of Wellington was there such an enormous gathering at that which attended yesterday to pay the last respect to the late W. 11. Levin. For some time previous to the hour announced for the funeral the road opposite his late residence was a mass of living souls. Deceased had been or was associated with almost every institute or society established in Wellington, and members attended in great numbers to follow thecortege. The benevolence and generosity of Mr Levin hail endeared him not only to Wellington citisenshut to those of the colony ; and it is no exaggeration to state that nearly every family here was represented at the funeral. The Governor was represented. The Premier and other members of the Government attended, and thousands of commercial and principal citizens were included in the cortege.
