Death of W. H. Levin.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, This Day W. H. Levin, of Levin and Co., and on< of tlie most prominent men in Wellington died this morning of hemorrhage of the brain accompanied by pleurisy. He had been ill for some days but nothing seriout was expected till tin: attack took a sharj turn yesterday. Five doctors were in attendance at the last, but their effort: proved unavailing. The Hags of the cit\ are half mast and numerous busineef places closed immediately the news became known. Mr Levin has been a Membei of Parliament, and the Public Library here is due to his initiation and generosity.
