Events in the film world are by no means stagnant (says oux - special correspondent in Wellington). Almost continuous meetings on the part of the exhibitors and other interested parties are being held, and the fight over the film taxation has not been relinquished. The next few;. days may see an important move with regard to the possibility of the Fox Corporation coming into New Zealand as theatre proprietors. Mr E. Rutledge, manager in New Zealand for the Fox Films, who has recently returned from Sydney, says that so far nothing definite has been decided. The Fox Corporation at present had its hands full in taking over the 100 theatres in the Hoyt chain ixx Australia.
