A popular practical joke is being played as a result of an innovation by the management of an hotel in Bournemouth (England). Twice a week the patrons are presented with gifts, such as a box containing- three perfectly innocent-looking golf balls, which, in fact, are made of soap. Recipients have had many a laugh on the first tee by exchanging the balls while the attention of their friends was called to something else. When hit, these balls behave in a remarkable manner, and fly anywhere but in the desired direction.
