THE LONGEST ROAD RACE EVER HELD IN THE DOMINION: WAIMATE TO CHRISTCHURCH.
The Waimate to Christchurch Road Race of 145 miles was contested by 68 riders, 42 of whom finished. This is the first year the race has been run over so long a distance for the New Zealand Road Championship.
