MR SCULLIN’S TACTFULNESS.
LONDON, October 9.
Mr Scullin during the morning’s discussion tactfully suggested that a wav out of the preference difficulty was to remit the details to the Economic Committee.
Mr Bennett insisted that there had been a sufficiently intimate disclosure for the main conference to be given the British answer. Mr Forbes was disposed to side with Mr Bennett in a desire to know where Britain stood, but Mr Seullin carried his point. This is the first suggestion of tension.
