The observation cars which have been attached to the Rdtorua expresses since the new de luxe carriages were brought into use early last May have been taken off temporarily. The, cars have not been very well patronised 'by travellers during the winter months, possibly because of the great advance in comfort offered by the new first-cass carriages which were introduced at the same time. It is intended ta reinstate them at the opening of the tourist season, when it is expected that they will .be more in demand.
