DETAILS OF THE WILL.

BEQUESTS FOR SPIRITUALISM. LONDON, September 19. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s will was written and drawn up by himself, and is dated May 6. He bequeathed £lOO to each Spiritualist Alliance in London, and a similar sum to the National Spiritualistic Union in Manchester, and £2OO to the Psychic College. The will states: “I am well convinced that these institutions represent the most important religious movements the world now holds.”

The value of the estate is not yet known, as inquiries regarding the sales of Sir Arthur’s books are still proceeding throughout the world. Five hundred pounds is left to his widow forthwith, and all- his household properties, books, pictures, and manuscripts, £250 a year to his secretary for life, and £2OOO to his elder daughter. There are several other small bequests, including £5O to the Authors’ Club in Paris.

MESSAGE FOR THE WORLD SOON. LONDON, September 20. Lady Doyle says that her husband, whose unsettled estate is expected to be about £30,000, would have died richer if he had continued his literary work instead of devoting his later years to Spiritualism. He lived a strenuous life and needed a holiday, “ which he is taking now. He will have a message for the world ere long, when he learns more about psychic conditions over there.”
