FOOTBALL PROGRAMME.

DUNEDIN FIRM PROSECUTED. CHRISTCHURCH, September 17. The issue of an unauthorised programme and the sale of it to the spectators at the second Rugby test match in Christchurch on July 5, was the cause of an action heard in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. The prosecutor was Mr J. O, M'Gillivray, secretary of th e Canterbury Rugby • Union, and the defendants were Archibald Kennedy and Joseph James Meldrum.

It was alleged that the defendants printed a document purporting to be a programme of a football match without an express permit. The programme was incomplete in that it did not contain the field numbers of the players. The defence was that the document was n °nn a Prolamine, but merely a souvenir. The Magistrate reserved his decision.
