DUNEDIN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

The tour through Central Otago, the Lake County and parts of North and South Otago, which has been arranged for members of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce, was commenced on Friday morning, the party of 24 leaving by the 8.40 express for Oamaru, setting out for Central Otago from the North Otago centre, and going via Kurow and the Lindis. The personnel of the party is as follows:—Messrs A. 11. Allen, 11. O. M'Farlane, A. C. Cameron, S. I’. Cameron, T. C. Ross, J. Farquliarson, 11. Mitchell, R. Duncan, 11. P. West, W. J. Bardslev, T. Ritchie, N. Oram, J. G. Dykes, E. H. Lough, C. A. Shiel, J. Watson, Vernon Smith, E Sliced. A. de Beer, J. Somerville, H. L. Smith, E. E. Nicolson, and J. B. Shacklock. Mr R. B. Tennent, fields superintendent of the Department of Agriculture for Otago and Southland, aeompanied the party for the purpose of conducting it through the various irrigation settlements and farminug areas to bo visited. The remainder of the itinerary is as follows:—■

Tuesday.—9 a.m.: Leave Queenstown for Alexandra, via Kawarau Gorge. 10.15 a.m.: Arrive Cromwell Development Company's dam. 10.30 a.m.: Depart for Ripponvale. 10.45 a.m.: Arrive Ripponvale: meet local settlers; inspect packing shed and orchard. 11.45 a.m.: Arrive Cromwell; meet local bodies. 12.30 p.m.: Lunch. 1.30 p.m.: Depart Cromwell for Clyde; meet local bodies. 3.30 p.m.: Arrive Galloway Farm; afternoon tea; meet local farmers; meet local bodies. Wednesday.—9 a.m.: Leave Alexandra for Ida Valley, via Raggedy Range to Poolburn. 10.15 a.m.: Arrive Poolburn; meet settlers; morning tea. 11 a.m.: Leave Poolburn for Omakau 12.15 p.m.: Arrive Omakau; lunch at Omakau. 1.15 p.m.: Depart Omakau for Chatto Creek: visit Chinkey Gully flume and intake of Manuherikia irrigation scheme. 2.15 p.m.: Leave intake for Roxburgh via Springvale, Alexandra. Fruitlands, ami Coal Creek. 4.45 p.m.: Arrive Roxburgh: party will be met at Coal Creek by fruitgrowers, who will conduct inspection of orchards and irrigation scheme. 8 p.m. - Meet fruitgrowers and local bodies in Town Hall.

Thursday.—B.3o a.m.: Depart Roxburgh. 9.15 a.m.: Arrive Ettrick; inspect orchard; meet local bodies; morning tea. 10.15 a.m.: Depart Ettrick for Moa Flat; lunch at “Greenpark” Homestead. 1.15 p.m.: Leave Moa Flat for Tapanui, via Ilcriot and Kelso. 2.30 p.m.: Arrive Tapanui; afternoon tea; meet local bodies. 3.45 p.m.: Depart Tapanui for Lawrence, via Beaumont. 5 p.m.: Arrive Lawrence; meet local bodies. 7.15 p.m.: Depart for Dunedin. 9.30 p.m.: Arrive Dunedin.
