Information has reached New Zealand of a commercial plan designed to capture the world market in agricultural machinery on behalf of the British Empire. Eighteen British companies, with millions of capital, are involved, including the Rushton Tractor Company, whose output is a factor in the scheme, and the H. V. M‘Kay Proprietary, Ltd., of Alclbourne. The neyv enterprise launched under the title of Agricultural and General Engineers, Ltd., with Air George E. Rowland as chairman, will provide work for 10,000 men in the first year, and double that number in three years.
