Much interest is being taken in Taupo in the proposed air route from Napier to Auckland, as suggested in the Napier Daily Telegraph some time ago. It is probably the easiest air route in New Zealand to arrange for, as a hydroplane could take off the inner harbour at Napier and alight at the wharf on Lake Taupo, at the wharf on Lake Rotorua, and on the Auckland Harbour. A meeting of a number of people enterested in supporting the superior class of motion picture productions was held at the University College, Auckland. Professor W. Anderson presided, and gave a brief address on the aims and objects of a society which it is proposed to form. It was the opinion of the meeting that the society would have the co-operation of the leading exhibitors in New Zealand.
