MISHAP TO STEAMER.

PROPELLER BADLY DAMAGED. AUCKLAND, September 29. An examination of the propeller of the steamer Antonio was carried out this morning to ascertain what damage had been done during the-storm she encountered en route from Casablanca to Auckland. It was found that one blade had been snapped off 10 inches from the boss and the broken blade had damaged the others, stripping a piece three feet long by 10 inches wide from the edge of one and making a big semi-circular gap in the other. A gash in the solid steel of the rudder post showed where the broken blade had jammed against it. The Antonio is expected to finish unloading the local portion of her phosphate cargo about Wednesday, and it is not yet known whether the Marine Department will allow her to go to Lyttelton to complete discharge before undergoing repairs. Otherwise she will have to be repaired at Auckland.
