MONTHLY AND QUARTERLY RETURNS. The following are the vital statistics for Dunedin for the month ended yesterday, the figures for the month of September last year being given in parentheses:—Births 134 '(118), deaths 81 (75), marriages 34 (67). The returns for the quarter which also ended yesterday are as follow, last year’s figures being given in parentheses:— Births 380 .(380), deaths 271 (257), marriages 135 (180). CHRISTCHURCH FIGURES. CHRISTCHURCH, September 30. The vital statistics for September were: Births 207, deaths 124, marriages 78. The figures 12 months ago were: Births 214, deaths 113, marriages 85.
