“ That this society draws the attention of the Christchurch City Council and other local authorities to the urgent need that exists for the provision of public conveniences for both sexes in various parts of the city of Christchurch and its environs, and also calls the attention of the bodies concerned to the fact that although the population has increased, the number of public places of convenience has decreased.”_ The above resolution passed by the New Zealand Society for the Protection of Women and Children, was received at the last meeting of the City Council (reports the LytteD ton Times).
