M'CARTEN’S SUSPENSION. SYDNEY, September 18. The majority of the sporting writers here are agitating for the reopening of the M'Carten case. They contend that Saturday’s race in which Limerick participated demonstrated more clearly than ever Limerick’s weakness for lugging in. Owing to M'Carten’s suspension, G. Price has now secured new riders for Reonui and Joselyn in their A.J.C. engagements, Adams for the former and probably Duncan for the latter. CASE OF RINGING IN. HORSE AND OWNER DISQUALIFIED. MELBOURNE, September 18. As a result of , the alleged ringing in °f. the_ mare Supremacy, a winner, at Victorian meetipgs, in the Maiden Handicap at Victoria Park, as Master Jolly, which won the second division, the mare and owner, H. Hutchinson, were disqualified for life. The mare disappeared subsequently from the stable of the trainer, W. E. Crockett, at South Randwick. THE MENANGLE PARK CUP. SYDNEY, September 18. Owing to the gradual diminution of the totalisator investments on the Randwick course throughout the year, the State Cabinet has authorised the A.J.C. to revert to the former basis "of distribution of dividends—namely, 60 per cent, for winners and 20 per cent each for the second and third horses. The present distribution is 50, 30, and 20 per cent.

KARUMA SCRATCHED FOR EPSOM. . The popular Epsom candidate Karuma is being withdrawn from the Epsom, but is going to Melbourne for the spring carnival. Limerick and Roscrea are also going to Melbourne, the former having been nominated for the Caulfield Stakes and the latter for the Herbert Power Stakes. THE HAWKESBURY RACES. SYDNEY, September 23. Following are results of Hawkesbury races:—■ PARK STAKES. —First Division: Bavarde 7.13, 1; Sear _7.11, 2; Boston 7.7, 3. Nineteen started. Won easily by five lengths, with the New Zealand horse two lengths further back. Time, Imin lusec. Gesto was withdrawn from the second division. THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP.— Kavalli 7.12, 1; Amplifier 8.8, 2; Black Douglas 8.5, 3. Eleven started. Won by four lengths. Time, Imin Jazz Baby ran fourth in the Flying Handicap, which was won by Don Moon, 8.13, from Lord Romeo, 7.5. . NEW ZEALAND HORSES SOLD. _ SYDNEY, September 23. ' Though New Zealand owners and trainers find races difficult to win in New South Wales, they find a ready market for . their charges. Tea Tray, Gold Tray, and Perfection have changed owners since their arrival from the Dominion, and Luke Wilson, who brought Raasay and Gesto to Sydney, will go home empty-handed. The last-named was sold on Friday to a patron of G. Price’s stable. He shaped fairly well in his last start at Rosehill.
