Carelessness, which might have resulted in tragedy, was demonstrated by members of a bridal party which was sending off a honeymoon eouple at the Timaru railway station (says the Herald). A number of women followed the couple into the railway carriage, and were so interested that they failed to observe that the train was about to start. The result was a hurried exit from a carriage in motion. Fortunately, members of an ever-vigilant station staff, were on the spot, and helped those in trouble to reach the jiatform in safety.
