FIRE IN HOMESTEAD. BLENHEIM, September 18. A homestead at Grovetown, of nine rooms, owned . and occupied by John Casey, was totally destroyed by lire with its contents. Hie fire had a strong hold when discovered, and no water was available. Four straw stacks valued at £25 '} e . le l a l° destroyed. The house was 'alued at £l4OO and the contents at £5OO noth were insured in the Norwich office’ the contents for £3OO, but the amount on the house was not available. Mephan An explosion of oil in the drums made the firemen's workdangerous, _ but they saved a billiard saloon behind the garage, and also adjoining property., The insurances on the property destroyed total £l,OOO.
