EVENTS AT STOCKHOLM. STOCKHOLM, September 1. In the 100 Metres Backstroke Lundahl beat Boast, In the 200 Metres Free Style Charlton beat Lundahl. Charlton and Boast voluntarily participated in the extra day to assist the promoters, who suffered financially by bad weather. CUN CLUB. The principal match at the Dunedin Gun Club’s grounds, Green Island, on Saturday .afternoon, consisted of 15 clay birds, for two trophies presented to the club by Mr Hector Gibson, Tarras. s The weather was fine, but -windy, and trapshooting conditions went in favour of the clay birds. The best scores were:—E. P. Graham (19yds), 14; J. Donnelly . (Auckland Gun Club) (12yds), 13; R. M'Donald (14yds), 12; A. King (13yds), 12; R. Morrison (11yds), 12; G. E. Turner (16yds), 11; L. E. Wilson (12yds), 11; W. Morland (14yds), 11. Two “ stars ” were allotted the handicap of R. Morrison, and upon gaining these, he shot off with E. P. Graham to decide the winner. In the third round, Graham missed his bird, and, with a first barrel break, Morrison won the first prize trophy, and Graham the second. The members followed on with a ninebird sweepstake, and W. Smellie (15yds) and J. Donnelly (12yds) broke the total number and divided the prize money. The other best scores were G. E. Turner (16yds), 8; E. P. Graham (20yds), 7; R. McDonald (14yds), 6; and R. Morrison (11yds), 6. The-afternoon’s sport concluded with a three-pait double rise sweepstake, and R. McDonald (12yds) was the only member to break the six birds (right and left barrels), and won the first prize money. With 4our breaks each, W. Smeilie (12yds), J. Potts (12yds), and L. E. Wilson (11yds) shot off for second prize I money, Smellie winning from Wilson in the second round.
