WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2G.—ACCEPTANCES for ALL EVENTS CLOSE with the Secretary at Kurow at 8 o’clock p.m. All entries and acceptances must be addressed to the Secretary, and contain money, name,' description, age, and pedigree of horses, names of owner and trainer, and rider’s colours. Rule 13.—8 y the entering of a horse, every person having, or subsequently acquiring, an interest in such horse, shall be deemed thereby to undertake, t neither directly nor indirectly, not to make any wager with a bookmaker in connection with such horse, or any other horse in the race in which such horse is so entered. Each entry shall contain, or, if it do not contain, shall be conclusively assumed to contain such an undertaking; breach. whereof shall be deemed a corrupt practice on the Turf within the meaning of Part XXXII of these Rules. Rule 198.—Every person applying for admission to any course, and every person entering or endeavouring to enter a horse for any race, and every person having or subsequently acquiring any interest in such horse, shall be deemed to accept all the conditions and restrictions imposed or implied by the Rules, and to be debarred from questioning the action of the Conference, Appeal Judges, Association, Club, Racing Club or body, committee, stewards, officials, agents, or servants in respect of any such person or horse, or any person connected therewith, otherwise than is provided for in Part XXX of these Rules. “ The stewards reserve the right to postpone the times notified in this Race Card for closing the totalisator and starting the race if circumstances in their opinion warrant their doing so.” RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. Races will be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing. 2. The winner of any race after the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 71b, and for every additional win a further penalty of 71b extra. The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of handicaps to be rehandicapped. TROTTING RULES. 1. Trotting races will be run under the Rules of the New Zealand Trotting Association. 2. The winner of the Waitaki Trot to be rehandicapped. 2a. In both Trots horses will be handicapped by the yards system. 3. Owners of horses starting for the first time after being registered with the Association must produce their copy of the completed registration form to the stipendiary steward at this meeting.
