THE AORANGI’S PASSENGERS.
NEW ZEALAND PARLIAMENTARY PARTY.
WELLINGTON, July 31
There was a large crowd on the wharf when the Aorangi sailed this afternoon for Vancouver. On board her were the members of the New Zealand Parliamentary Party, which will visit Canada at the invitation of the sister Dominion. The New Zealanders. were headed by Mr W. Nosworthy (Postmaster-generel), Mr J. B. Gow represented the Legislative Council, and the Lower House was represented by Mr T. W. Rhodes (Thames), and Mr W. J. Jordan (Manukau). In addition the liner was .joined by the New Zealand delegation to the Pan-Pacific Conference at Honolulu. The party in all numbered 18. Those travelling were Mrs C. A. Fraer, J.P. (Christchurch), Mrs T. E. Taylor, J.P. (Christchurch), Dr Emily Siedeberg (Dunedin), Miss Emily Chaplin (Christchurch), Mrs Denton Leech (Dunedin), Mrs M. M. Osborne (Auckland), Miss Nellie Duthie (Dunedin), Miss Mary Cole (New Plymouth), Miss E. N. Wilson (Auckland), Miss Mary Seaton (Wellington), Miss Olive Mercer (Dunedin), Mrs I. Tiffin (Gisborne), Mrs G. H. Dixon (Wellington), Miss Balkley (Wellington), Mrs D. G. Cole (Onehunga). Mrs Seatoun (Wellington), and Miss Tiffin (Gisborne).
