“LEST WE FORGET.”
On Anzac Day a wreath subscribed to by Australians and New Zealanders throughout Transvaal was laid at the base of the Cenotaph in Johannesburg. A short memorial service to those Anzacs who died in the war was notable for the directness of its appeal to the ordinary man.
