JERSEY COWS.

CLASSIFICATION SCHEME. PALMERSTON N.. April 19. An important conference of delegates from the Jersey Breeders’ Clubs of New Zealand was held to-day, when a scheme of classifying cows according to type was approved. The meeting considered that there ewre many advantages to be gained by being able to form a reasonably correct opinion of an animal’s value. It was pointed out that if the classification were well done the type degrees would be as stable as the production records and would carry equal weight. A similar scheme has been operating in Jersey Island for years
