A FARMER’S FAILURE.
MEETING OF'CREDITORS. A meeting of the creditors of Edward E. Ayrton, a farmer of Clydevale, was held on Friday in the office of the Official Assignee in Bankruptcy (Mr W. D. Wallace). The bankrupt’s total debts were set down at £954 3s lid, including £361 3s lid to unsecured creditors. The surplus from securities in the hands of creditors totalled £193 16s, leaving a deficiency of £770 ’7s lid. James Wyllie. a Sefton farmer, *as the only secured creditor, the sum of £1206 4s owing to him being covered by securities to the amount, of £l4OO. The largest debt faced bv the bankrupt was that of £603, being six months’ rent from February 3 to August 3. 1927, due to James Wyllie. The principal unsecured creditors were: John Chambers, Ltd. (Dunedin), £55; Massey, Harris, and Co. (Dunedin), £5l; Booth, MacDonald, and Co. (Christchurch), £l4 Ils 9d; Dr Biggs (Balclutha). £lO 10s; Dr Brown (Balelutha), £l2 12s; W. 11. Simms and Sons (Christchurch), £l5 12s 4d ; Clvtha County Council, | £132 3s lid; S R. Stedman (Dunedin), £lO 9s sd. I Mr A. N. Haggitt represented the bnnlcIrnpt and Mr E. A, Duncan appeared for the - creditor, Wyllie.
