MESSAGE TO THE HON. DOWNIE STEWART. WELLINGTON, February 25. Sir Frank Heath has forwarded the following message by telegraph to the Hon. W. D. Stewart: ‘I feel I must congratulate you, as Minister of Industries and Commerce, and the Government as a whole, on the extraordinarily fine and interesting exhibits made by the State departments, and by individual firms of manufacturers, at the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition. They are an evidence.of the close touch that, has been secured between the Government and the needs of the people. “It is only by studying the exhibits collectively that a just estimate can ne formed of the miraculous progress already achieved and of the proud hopes that should be felt for the continuance of a wellbalanced development, both on the primary and the secondary sides. In this development the aid of science is certain to bo increasingly called for.”
