JUVENILE VISITORS DELIGHTED
THE PROGRAMME OF EVENTS. • Every court was busy battalions of visiting schoolchildren on Wednesday morning, and until the middle of the afternoon they marched from pavilion to pavilion, examined the exhibits thoroughly, wore lectured to by the commissioners, and. pencilled copious notes in the little book that is part and parcel of every child’s Exhibition equipment In the afternoon the first sections of the pipe band contest were judged, and the brass band contest continued in the Festival Hall where the numbers of interested onlookers was large. The Exhibition orchestra played in the New Zealand Seoondary Industrie Pavilion, and in the reception room of the British Court the wives of the directorate entertained friends. All were glad to welcome Mrs J. Sutherland Ross, wife of the chairman of Exhibition directors who paid her first visit to Logan Park *int?o her recent illness. In the morning she visited the various commissions in the Exhibition where she was given a warm welcome. In the evening the directors entertained Hospital Board delegates, and representatives of the Accountant’s Society of New Zealand. The gatherings of delegates were large and nil roceived a cordial welcome from the chairman of directors, Mr J. Sutherland Ross. After supper had been served tho visitors’ book was signed by the conference members present, and' tho parties •pent the remainder of the evening in seeing us much of the Exhibition as was possible in the time at their disposal.
