BUSY DAYS AT LOGAN PARK LISTENING TO THE BANDS

DULL SKIES BUT HIGH SPIRITS Fresh and eager for amusement and recreation came the crowds to Logan Park on the 22nd ult., making a fitting close to the record of success that has marked the fourteenth week. The interest in the band contest was as great as ever, and every department catered for many happy visitors. Hundreds of school children from Christchurch were amongst the visitors, and in the morning the directors entertained a number of visiting players from the J. C. Williamson Company at present in Dunedin. A prominent visitor in the afternoon wa s Dame Clara Butt, who was entertained by the British Commission The attendance was 15,322, making the total for the week 114,352.
