WAITOMO DELAYED.

FIREMEN OBJECT TO COOK. 1 AUCKLAND, February 28. _ When the Waitomo was ready to sail for Newcastle at 5 o’clock last evening the firemen refused to take the ship to sea unless the cool; was discharged. As a number of the stokers were intoxicated it was thought they would he more reasonable when sober. However, this morning they still said they would not sail with the present cook, and consequently tha Waitomo’s departure has boon postponed until 10 to-morrow morning.
