uns newly-formed club held its first busing* meeting' on Thurschiy nig'lit to elect officers, adopt rules, anil decide as to the ojjects of tho club. There were about 40 poultry breeders present-, and amongst them some ladies. Mr Sam Devereaux occupied tue chair temporarily. r J lie election of olFicers resulted as follows:—Patron, Air 11. P. Harvey; president, Mr F. 11. Dalton; vice-presidents, Mr P. Shack lock, Mr U. Geddes, Mr d. Deveraux, and Mr R. Cootnbes; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. Stunner. It was resolved that the secretary make inquiries as to affiliation with the New Zealand Poultry Association. The membership fee was fixed at 5s per annum, and the secretary was instructed to procure membership tickets and all the necessary books and stationery. It was decided to meat monthly, that the annual meeting be held in July each year, and that the secretary and president arrange for a suitable and central place of meeting. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Messrs Burke, Ooombes, Rattigan, and Geddes for their services in initiation of the club.
