A MOVEABLE PRIMACY. WELLINGTON'. July 6. At to day’s sitting of the Wellington Anglican Synod, during a discussion, it v.as stated that hitherto there had been a movable Primacy. The present arrangement had many disadvantages. The Bishop of Dunedin as Primate was largely out of touch with matters in other districts. All important bodies had central offices, and tiii< would save a good deal of expense. "Wellington, owing to i'.s geograjihical posiable. 1 r was stated I hat the present Bishop of Wellington felt that lie must not take up the Primacy. It was a loss to the province no doubt, but ho had stated that under no circumstances would be consent. It was decided eventually to vole tomorrow on the recommendation of the General Synod to the Diocesan Synod and the questions to be introduced into the General Synod next session.
