C.AI.G., who is going out to Australia and New Zealand in the interests of the Royal Colonial Institute, left by the Orsova. He is accompanied by Mrs Boose. S.S. RUAIITNE. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s Ruailine sailed from Southampton to-day in command of Captain E. T. Smith, and with Dr J. F. Nall as medical officer. The vessel carries a full complement of passengers in all classes. Sir Joseph and Lady Ward were at Waterloo Station to bid good-bye to Lady Robinson and her daughters, who are starting on a tour round the world. Sir Thomas Robinson, late Agentgeneral for Queensland will be following to New Zealand on December 20. Lieutenantcommander E. G. Rhodes, R.N. (son of the late Air G. H. Rhodes, of Claremont, Timaru), was also amongst the passengers. He has now retired from the navy, and is returning to the dominion. The Rev. E. C. Crosse, D. 5.0., the newlyappointed head master of Christ’s College, Christchurch, was a passenger by the boat train. Fie is keenly looking forward to taking up his duties in the dominion. During the last few weeks he has been the recipient of a large number of presentations from old comrades and friends. Alajor S. J. Bolton, who has been in charge of affairs in connection with the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces since Colonel Hall left England, has completed his militarv work and returns to the Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington. The Emigration Department at the High Commissioner’s Office has now made arrangements to send out a party of 40 domestic servants in charge of a matron by every direct vessel. The class of girl who is being selected should make most desirable settlers. Everything is done for the comfort of the girls during the voyage, and those who left Waterloo this morning certainly looked a happy and hopeful party*
