LOOK AFTER THE RADIATOR.
There is «•» doubt that * grea* deal of engine inefficiency, developed after the oar has been long m commission, is due to radiators which Jiave become clogged and do not sufficiently cool the circulating water. The use of really clear, clean rain water is a certain preventive, if it is started and continued from the very first. There are several forms of chemical solvents' which wifi dissolve the accumulated fur in radiators. One or two other of these should be used at fairly frequent intervals. They have the
j effect, if introduced into a full circulating ' system with the engine running of also blearing the water jackets and so adding very considerably to the efficiency of the ..hole system. Some radiators are faulty from other causes, but these are generally mechanical defects, such as choked inlets or outlets cr Sj&ky tubes or fins. Leaky radiators require careful treatment and aro generally best left to the care and attention of the expert, jt is a job which requires care and skill and lengthy experience, ft pays to put it into the hands of the skilled specialists.
